After countless hours of time and an immeasurable amount of energy, Fire Safe Sonoma completed the first countywide Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP).
The Sonoma County Fire Chief’s Association, on Wednesday, June 08, 2016, approved the CWPP (See Photo). Then on September 20, 2016, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the plan.
This CWPP, created by Fire Safe Sonoma, is a global CWPP and serves as a parent document to locally created CWPP’s throughout the county. The creation of this massive document took several years to complete and is a “living document”, and will receive updates as time goes on.
